FAQs On Spirituality and Self

There are many different points of views across different spiritual traditions regarding all of life, death and beyond, especially about the Self. Here are some ways to discover our inner truth based on self-introspection and deciding what feels right to you.

1. SELF CONCEPT: Is Spirituality about being Selfish or Self-centred (focusing on yourself and immediate needs) or is it about being Selfless and being a Martyr (sacrificing yourself for others)?

While some religions in the past have glorified selflessness and giving up your life for welfare of others, a few modern spiritual leaders have introduced the idea of being selfish and self-centered by putting yourself first and above all. Finding the balance between these two extreme views can feel hard to most of us.

However, the concept of Self or our True Self is all inclusive, in the sense that we care for ourself, as well as others when needed and as far as possible, while being aware that our inner consciousness can indeed expand and include in its welfare, ourself, our close family and mates, as well as our expanded universe or all that is as we learn, grow and evolve spiritually. As we learn more in our soul’s journey our idea about who we are can transform from personal or limited physicality to universal consciousness. This is however easier to appreciate intelectually than to experience holistically and most of us are still learning to heal ourself and our near ones while parallelly working on planetary and universal healing.

2. WORLD CONCEPT: Is Spirituality about being Otherworldly and disconnected from earth to the point of letting go of all things, or is it about being Worldly wise and focusing on law of attraction to have as much pleasure, wealth or success as possible?

A lot of people have wondered if our world is illusion and if there is another world which is more ‘true’ than this one over here. As such countless people believed in heaven, other-worlds, faerylands, higher dimensions where we are directly in touch wih Truth. On the opposite spectrum are people who believe in the world alone, and that whatever we have to experience happens on earth itself and because we live only once, we have to achieve as much success, fame, prosperity, enjoyment or pleasure as we can before we die. Both point of views can be hard to reconcile for most of us.

At the same time there is a new wave of realization that describes this world as well as other-worlds, as a direct manifestation of our own choices and consciousness levels. We create our universe, our heaven or hell, our life or afterlife and our next level of reality according to this point of view, and not necessarily consciously as our subconscious patterns are likely to be overwhelming. The more we meditate the more we connect with the Source of all there is and become conscious to willingly manifest or attract all our realities both worldly and other-worldly with awareness.

3. SENSITIVITY: Is Spirituality about losing all your sensitivity and being totally unaffected by anything or anyone, or is it about being super-sensitive and getting affected by everything and everyone to the point you cannot take it?

On one hand spiritual meditators say that they are detached from the world and from all thoughts, and connected with deep inner peace and bliss only, and on the other hand we have empaths and healers who can feel, sense and channel energies of people next to them or very far away, or of the planet or other beings, even if it hurts. Many of us try to walk the fine line between being detached from others and being connected with others at an emotional and heart level.

A new perscpective is that we are deeply interconnected with all beings as we are One with all and even as we feel like we are separate souls, we are all part of the One Soul or True Self. Therefore while we can feel intense emotions of others, channel energies and be able to see and feel the situations of other people, past, present or future and even other beings, we can also heal them and ourself simultaneously. As we feel the pain and suffering of others we also have the power to heal the pain and as we send healing so does a part of us receive it because the universe is within. The peace and bliss experienced as a result is the real key to liberation, instead of through detaching from everyone and being unconcerned about others.

4. YOGA: Is Spiritual Meditation about breathing techniques and exercises of the body or is it about concentration and mind?

Some spiritual churches and communities advocate concentrating or’meditating upon’ special holy words or specific images as the way to develop spiritually. Others believe in guided meditation or creative visualization for healing and manifesting a desired life, regardless of religion. At the same time there is a belief that meditation is about breathing exercises or focusing upon breath through ‘Pranayama’ , or observing our physical postures, physical exercises or ‘Hatha Yoga’ which is generally equated with Yoga, or ‘Raja yoga’ which is focused on ‘third-eye’ awakening.

The ‘inner’ view of meditation as a way of self-realization and being aware of ‘Who I Am’, or ‘I Am’ consciousness is quite different. In this point of view meditation is not about focusing on anything outside, such as words, music, images, physical sensations, mudras, eye gazing, postures, exercises, energy work or breath.  Those are various other yogas, whereas meditation is about observing your True Self ‘Within’, not limited to your physicality, mind or breath, but an ‘inner consciousness ‘ which is beyond body and mind. It is a receptive state of openness through which truth can be channeled or realized without making our mind focus on a specific object or activity. If we do begin with focusing on breath, physical action or mental activity or any specific visualization we have to let go of that and focus on simply ‘being with ourself.’

5. GOD: Is Spirituality about relating with a separate being called God above, or is it about being nice and cordial to everyone and living in harmony with outside world?

The traditional ‘theistic’ ideology that there is superior being called ‘God’ who is all-powerful beyond us, and above all of creation has dominated for millenia. We are taught by these systems that spirituality is all about devotional worship of ‘God’ and that belief in ‘God’ will lead us to heaven. We are asked to relate less with the world and more with ‘God’. On the other hand we have also been taught that we must be good to others and live our life in harmony with other people so that we have a good relationship with the world. Atheistic views on the other hand are solely ‘world’ focused with no idea about God or any superior invisible being.

The new understanding of God as not a deity to be worshipped but our True Self to be realized as our own Higher Consciousness, a Higher State of Being that is within all of us Right Now is emerging through Self Realization. The basis of this rationality is that we have all emerged from the same One and therefore contain the essence or energy within and never separate from the Source. In this sense, we need not die to be with God ‘above’ in ‘heaven’ or because God within us here and now, embodied and living as all of us and awaiting realization and awakening. We can be of loving service to the universe until our last breath and therefore unite with God while alive in whichever way we can by knowing Who We Are and Being One with Our True Self.

6. STRESS: Is spirituality about avoiding stress and responsibilities by closing our eyes or is it about taking a lot of stress and solving problems with our physical or mental efforts?

The belief that spirituality is about closing our eyes and isolating ourself from the world like an ascetic or monk is an age-old one. Some people even develop a latent anger or hate towards the world and avoid any responsibility whatsoever for their own family, society, or other creatures in an attempt to be spiritually higher or ‘holier’. At the other end of the spectrum, we have people who are highly stressed out trying to live for others, serving their families at the expense of their own health, working hard for serving corporate machinery and striving through our physical efforts or mental work to solve problems. Are they the real spiritual heroes who work out there and keep our systems going?

Spirituality as inner work, which is not stressful but a state of relaxed self-awareness and inner-transformation is now in practice. We try to neither isolate ourself through cutting off from family, friends and society and being ‘superior’, or get overworked in striving for the good of others while being stressed and drained ourself. Through our inner peace and inner joy, we discover why we are here in the world, we discover our inner source of unconditional love and kindness which is not something to ‘expect’ from the world, but to ‘accept’ within your heart to share, expand and grow in loving consciousness all our life. As we share our own inner treasure of love, peace and joy, we can relax, destress and be aware that we manifest our universe and that all beings are interconnected through our inner-self.

FAQs about Spirituality and Religion

This FAQ is based on the personal experience of the author and is intended to encourage readers to introspect, meditate and discover  truth through self-realization. You are welcome to share your own personal experiences and spread the light.

Is Spirituality the same as Religion?

Spirituality does not always require adherence to any specific religion. Spirituality is an inner path, based on self-realization. Religions can be spiritual if they teach people how to be positive and compassionate from within. Those religions who teach blind faith, promote worship of outer God or deities and promote scriptures as the only way to learn truth may not be an inner path of spirituality.

Are all Religious Scriptures Positive and Love based?

By more than a superficial reading of various popular religious scriptures of various cultures, we can see that all of them have not been positive in all aspects. Gender bias, LGBT bias, racial supremacy, religious superiority complex and bias towards human specie have been clearly promoted through certain holy texts. In how many religious scriptures do we find a focus on animal rights, LGBT rights, women’s equality and racial equality which are our common human values in the modern world today? Fear of blasphemy and heresy have been used to prevent updating of holy books or scriptures that were written to suit earlier notions although each holy book often claims to be the one true word of God.

Is there One True Religion?

Religions have been culture specific beliefs prevalent in specific places and later spread or shared cross-culturally. There are far too many religions to be named here and many of them have a foundation of peace, love, kindness and regard for all of nature. We all have a common truth that ideally transcends religious or cultural boundaries and this common truth might be shared between various religions to some or the other extent. Any religion that claims to be the only one truth may be superiority-based or even fundamentalist, and not a source of true unity.

Is Spirituality about an outer God/ Devil or Inner Self?

We all can see a reality around us and know that we exist in a universe, but not all of us realize that each and every one of our situations, realities and life experiences are self-created projections or manifestations. Most people have been blaming either God or Devil for everything in the world. The magical and illusory nature or ‘maya’ of our universe can slowly be understood through awakening of our own inner consciousness through meditation and self-realization.

Who is the Devil?

Some people promote belief in a specific being called Devil as the source of all evil. Through meditation and an honest introspection we may find that our own hateful or ignorant beliefs, ego-based ideas, negative thoughts or harmful deeds in the past may in-fact be the source of evil, both individual or collective. All negative entities or energies, no matter what we name them, may be fear-based creations of our individual or collective minds that can appear quite real in this ‘matrix’ or illusion of reality. Deeply transforming our fears to love may be necessary for healing.

Who is God?

God as a source of unlimited Love and creator of all there is may not be a limited entity or personality. There is an unlimited love energy or consciousness that is present in all beings and waiting to be awakened. This energy is not of a specific gender or form and includes divine feminine and masculine in itself. All positive entities, loving deities, higher angels or positive energies may be creations or forms of our individual and collective love based consciousness. This higher consciousness or Source may be what many of us call God or Goddess or simply our Highest Self.

Is there a Higher Truth beyond our World?

Most people have been too busy in the outer world to give time to self-realization. They have been unaware that through our mind we can create either negative or positive realities in our life. Highly awakened spiritual masters have consistently guided us that all people, material possessions and life-events are manifested or attracted through our consciousness or unconsciousness. Those who believe only in the outer world or outer deities may at first find it hard to appreciate this view.

How can we Realize Truth or Know God?

Religions may have claimed that God or Truth can be known only through worship or through obedience to scriptures. Through self-realization we can personally witness the magical nature of the universe and how it is within us. We can see that healing can be sent and received regardless of religious belief because we are all interconnected beyond all differences. We might find that all things are impermanent or illusory but only deep inner love is true. By realizing our own inner source of unconditional kindness and love those who are on the inner-path can know God as our common inner truth that unites us as One.

How can we Heal ourselves?

Healing literally means rejoining or feeling whole. By feeling separate from the creator we cannot really be healed. Our healing journey begins when we learn to remember how we have been creating our life. We can be a witness to our own self and watch our own life transform through love based positive beliefs, positive thoughts and positive deeds. This happens only through deep inner healing including self-forgiveness, channeling positive energy and acceptance of our present moment as the point of positive transformation regardless of our past. Our true divine potential or Highest Self is always within us.

How can we Heal the World or our Collective Reality?

Most religious believers have left the task of healing the world to an outer God. At the same time through self-realization many people have personally experienced their own inner powers of healing and compassion. It is found that we heal our life, we also begin to magically heal others individuals or groups in kind and loving ways. True love unites us as One through our deeply felt inner awareness of magical abundance and higher consciousness. Both individually or in groups we can all heal our collective and individual self through love-based consciousness. A good place to begin is our own heart through meditation.

Who is God in ‘Particular’?

In response to Daily Prompt: Particular

Particle physics may not always be able to explain our reality, because the light through which we see the world outside can be proven to be a particle if our experiment aims at proving so, or a wave if our experiment is aimed at establishing the wave theory.

Is there a ‘God Particle’ out there in the gigantic CERN experimental laboratories that may explain to us the entire story of creation?

We are made of particles. Or are we in-fact light?

Or is God a ‘Particular’ person like one of us, just much more powerful…who has simulated this entire reality of our existence here in the world through his brilliant intelligent technology as witnessed by us in the perfect design of nature?

snail-1626756_960_720

Religion can, just like the experiments of science, be contradictory at times when it attempts to define God as ‘a particular person out there in heaven’, and at the same time say that ‘God is LOVE’, because while a person seems to be of ‘particular’ form, Love is an energy we all have within us, and unlimited.

Perhaps we need to take a cue from science and realize that the way we see something, even God, is the way it will appear to us, filtered through our own level of consciousness.

Those of us who attempt to see God as an outside being that is having an absolute and unquestionable power over their reality will end up meeting more people and reading more texts that will constantly strengthen their own particular point of view time and again. Their realities will continue to be something that is not within their own creative influence but only dependent on the benevolence of this ‘particular’ being they worship. Just like experimenters in science who try to observe something with their outer eyes, they bring their own observer bias, and create their own ‘particular’ limitations based on their own ‘particular’ beliefs. Trapped in that point of view, human beings might wait for some kind of a higher power to awaken us and heal the world…waiting forever without actually being the change we seek.

When we drop all our beliefs altogether and allow ourselves to experience who we are, then alone do we start unfolding the many spirals that hide our own truth within.

crown-2852117_960_720.jpg

Meditation simply means to ‘go within‘. Looking at anything from the outside can only be like dreaming a dream and looking for the dreamer among all the characters in our own dream.

Can any ‘other’ person in our dream ever be the creator of our own dream?

One who meditates knows that he or she can never be absolutely sure that the world he or she is living in is not just like a dream. Ask yourself if science can ever find a particle that is not a wave at the core. Are we living in a hologram or matrix linked deeply with our mind? Let the arrow of awareness point back to yourself. Observe yourself.

By asking ‘Who am I?’ the dreamer realizes himself as the dreamer or the creator of this entire play around the Self.

We can for ourselves see our entire reality shifting and changing in accordance with our own thoughts, our own emotional states and our own subconscious fears or hopes. We will be able to influence our life experiences, and not just in small or insignificant ways. By transforming our own deepest fears to LOVE, we will see how everything in our life becomes more and more beautiful and loving. We do not need a scientific experiment to establish this as true. Those who meditate and discover their inner source of endless love can see it for themselves. This miraculous dream called life is for each individual, created by nothing else but their own inner vibrations.

Those who seek God outside as someone in ‘particular’ who is beyond them, do not see God as their own inner energy. Through their fear or disbelief in their own magical power of creation, they may never be able to find the magic within themselves. Afraid of a ‘demon’ or ‘devil’ who has the power of magic, how sure can they be who ‘God’ even is? Any ‘being’ may appear to us or seem to speak to us from the outside and say ‘I am God’ and dictate any kind of texts that we take as the absolute word of God. We can see for ourselves whether various religious scriptures have been able to enlighten humankind or create biases, judgments and fear of eternal condemnation.

Have we all been fooled by centuries and centuries of blindness to look for a light outside when all this time the light has always been within?

Those who do look within can begin to awaken now.

The Difference Between Illusion and True Spirituality

Spirituality has been in vogue recently. It is the next big achievement people wish to flaunt in their ‘curriculum vitae’ or course of life. While we see ourselves and so many others joining the spiritual revolution on earth we all go through various stages in awakening to be either one or more of the below at any point of time (please note this discourse is not about judging the awakening level of others but for self introspection and personal awakening of each reader):

Type 1: Spiritually Dead. Only interested in material world, daily chores, routine, work, success, money, gossip, other people, celebrities, glamour, fame, fortune, pleasure and avoidance of pain. At this stage we have no interest in knowing the truth or questioning reality. Blind to the suffering and pain of others and often to our own we merely exist in a cold reality we call life, always looking for something to entertain ourselves with. We all have been at this stage at some point of time, or even now.

media

Type 2: Spiritually Asleep. At this stage we want to know truth but only through other people or books. We are either seeking scientific proof, or worshiping gods and goddesses through rituals and rites, or dreaming of a supreme being who lives in a fantasy realm of heaven with his angels, saves the world, carries our judgement of earthlings, fulfills apocalyptic prophecies, sends his messengers to preach his word..and so on…unaware that we are the God we all seek. We surpass this point only by looking within ourselves and discovering our own inner power. Religion can be spiritual if it is open to self-realization. An outer path is not really a spiritual path.

sleeping god

Type 3: Spiritually Dreaming. At this stage we are dancing in ‘maya’ or illusion, dreaming of past, present or future, trying meditation techniques, performing energy work, visualizing ‘chakras’, talking to apparitions or voices of spirits or angels, connecting with other worlds or dimensions, searching for relationships, using law of attraction for achieving more, repeating chants or affirmations, positive thinking, having a positive aura and so on which are necessary steps in awakening. Unfortunately a lot of people only get lost in the play called ‘the world’.

An outer display or illusion of spirituality is not necessarily about really being good on the inside but on how to use spirituality as a means to an end ‘for getting’ what we want while ‘forgetting’ who we are. There are far too many people who are being enchanted by false spiritual gurus who only put on a fascinating show. Operating at this stage we are actually Type 1, only  in a ‘spiritual’ mask generating various illusions of spiritual success or grandeur. We graduate from this stage only when we return to our own inner self instead of merely being lost in the outer world of spiritual ‘success’. This is not to say that people who are outwardly popular or flaunt their spiritual beliefs are not really spiritual from within. They can surely be, however the point is that we must not be lost in the outer glamour and must focus on our inner personal ethics and realizations.

illusion.jpg

Type 4: Spiritually Awake. True spirituality is beyond illusion of seeking more, wanting more, calling for God to save you, worshiping deities, having spiritual objects around you, being good at yoga, having tattoos, playing with illusion through magical thinking, displaying your amazing spiritual powers or controlling reality and people through your mind. All these are dreams and not awakening. Looking for anything ‘outside’ or ‘in your mind’ to make life more fulfilling is illusion because we are still in the mental ‘matrix’, creating our own illusions and attracting only illusions. We are all awakening right now.

So What is True Spirituality beyond all the illusion?

  • It is not science or intellect
  • It is not religion or worship
  • It is not ‘maya’ or mind power
  • It is not about relationships
  • It is not spiritual fashion
  • It is not worldly success

Who Created The Universe?

We all seem to be alive in this world, working for money, learning things, enjoying sensory experiences….but who are we and why are we here? Who has sent us here? Are we living in an mentally projected illusion or in a fixed reality? Who has crafted the structure of this elegant universe?

pi-1458972_960_720

There are four kinds of beliefs and your views are likely to fall into one or more of these at any point of time. This is a chance to read and reflect upon your own understanding rather than an answer to the questions above. You might find your awareness shifting if you remain open.

Viewpoint 1: Why Bother?

human-2538458_960_720

Most people in recent times seem to be so absorbed in the business of what they call life, that they simply do not find time to ask these big questions. They go on about their existences as if the questions above are completely irrelevant. According to them as long as they are following the crowd and doing exactly what they are told or taught by their schools and workplaces, it is quite sufficient as they are ‘confirming’ to the rules of the world and being consumers. Moreover a large part of this population has also believed that it is impossible to actually prove any point of view regarding creation and creator, therefore entangling ourselves in these type of thoughts gives absolutely no solution. Religion they have seen, has been a waste of time and has led to strife and wars, instead of any real benefit. Therefore they pursue their day to day existence as  materialists, or as those among atheists or agnostic who do not wish to spend much time in spiritual self-reflection or realization, while focusing attention on media, shopping and outer information instead. Enjoying money, body and power, or being unhappy, angry or jealous when we do not have enough and others do…they may blame circumstances, conspiracies and the world system for all that they feel is wrong while at the same time trying out some form of spirituality or religion as a quick fix or escape whenever convenient, without going too deep.

Viewpoint 2: An External Entity or Alien Created Us

fantasy-2693746_960_720

Even among those with a scientific temperament, the belief that we are living in a simulated reality is strong. Science fiction as well as conventional religion has put many of us in a ‘matrix’ mindset of an AI created world or an entity created reality. Their reasoning stems from an external observation of the universe that reveals its magnificent fractal patterns and perfect geometry, as well as the highly intelligent order in everything, from our atoms to cells, to organisms and galaxies. This wonderful structure of our world seems to indicate the presence of a digitally precise ‘creator entity’. Naturally it has to be a person who is of a superior intelligence, higher than an average human. Could it be an AI with superior computer brain-power who printed our original and self-replicating designs and patterns of life with evolution ‘programmed in’? Or have alien beings from a higher world or a scientifically more advanced star-civilisation, whether good or evil, ‘seeded’ us on earth for purposes best known to them. Reptilian, Draconian, Pleiadian, Arcturian, Sirian…there may be several alien beings with various interests, say these theorists. Alien abductions seem to be a norm among these believers who feel that physical yet invisible spaceships can materialize around us anytime and beam us up. The way our genes have been designed and the gaps in the conventional ‘Darwinian models of evolution’ also pointed some of us to an external hand in the development of our consciousness. But, the question remains – if we were created by an external entity, then who created that entity?

Viewpoint 3: A Divine ‘God’ Who Is Apart from Us Created Us

religion-2774761_960_720

While alien simulation theorists might believe in an external creator being or many creators who are either neutral, benevolent or selfish, monotheistic religious believers worship and pray to an external entity they call God imagining Him to be a divine, all-seeing being who was created himself and can fulfil wishes and help us when we are in trouble. Why did this God create us? Is it because he simply wanted someone to interact with,or to fulfil his creative ideas? And were our ancestors banished down on earth because we disobeyed God? Will seeking repentance for this and other ‘sins’ make him forgive us and accept us back. Does this God person wish us good or simply wish for us to obey or ‘submit’ to him as many believe. Must we let go of all our earthly desires and like faithful slaves, surrender to the higher will of God who is far away from us and wants us to return to Him? Will converting other people and guiding them to serve ‘God’ through the ‘His word’ found through religious books and commandments as spoken by His chosen Prophets, Messiah or a special Avatar please Him and win us favours in his heaven and paradise when he accepts us back for all our ‘good work’ down here on earth? Those who believe ‘Yes’ do so only because their chosen books and religions have said this. Some of them do say ‘God is Love’ but not our inner love within us. He is according to most believers, an ‘outer’ being who they hope will love them as his special chosen family if they join specific religious groups or sects and follow their books, beliefs or methods of worship.

Viewpoint 4: The Creator is Within Us

earth-2822497_960_720

Surprising to the holders of viewpoint 3 above, there is a growing tribe of meditators who say that God is Within. Those who believe that God is far away, are stunned beyond measure. How can we in this limited human body, with all our flaws and weaknesses, ever compare ourselves to God, the creator of all there is. Can we create the world? Can we simulate reality, situations and even other beings through our ‘third-eye’ or visualization skills or through the magical power of thoughts? Can we heal ourself and our planet without calling upon an external God? The only way to find out is to look within. If we stay asleep and keep following other people’s beliefs, we can only go as far as they have on this wonderful journey of self-discovery. When we try to meditate and awaken our own consciousness, many of us begin to work magic. We can witness exact realities being created to match our wishes and desires. People, situations, events, work, health…no matter what we hold within our heart and mind, we can manifest in our life, regardless of religion. We seem to have the power of the Creator at least to some extent. Could it be that our own Higher Self is the all-creator at some higher dimension of consciousness? Do we have parallel existences as a higher being beyond our physical and mental self? Have we created our world and forgotten who we are? Or is there an external entity of person, Alien, AI matrix, God or Devil who has been granting our wishes while we believed it was our Higher Self or Inner Self? Again if there was an external entity. whether good, evil or neutral, responsible for manifesting our life, then who created that entity? Surely there is a need to go deeper and discover the Highest One and realize that if everything has emerged from that One Source, then we must carry this source energy very much within our-self.

ask-2341784_960_720

Are we fools to believe in our inner-self and doomed or condemned to Judgement Day or Hell just because we believe in our own innate powers of love, intuition and healing? Or are fear based notions the result of centuries of ignorance and self-victimization?

Spirituality, in contrast to Conventional Religion or Science is all about

  • Finding the inner source of divine love and compassion
  • Awakening our naturally endowed divine powers to heal and help our-self and others regardless of religion or belief
  • Being able to manifest our own positive reality and highest good
  • Refraining from judging, fighting with or converting others
  • Realizing the illusory nature of reality by recognizing our mental-projections all around us in our daily life
  • Focusing on discovering what is within us instead of being absorbed in outer world
  • Learning to raise our unity consciousness through meditation, intuition and self-introspection

Whether through science or religion, if we keep looking for a creator outside us, we may only find illusion or ‘maya’. We need to find our connection with the highest One creative source through a deeper inner realization instead of just believing in an external entity or simulator God/Gods/ Devil/ Alien/AI. No matter what science or religion might say, we can choose to stay open to self-discovery beyond any rigid belief.

Five Steps To Wish Fulfilment and Prayer

We often hear from believers, worshippers and devotees that they are frustrated. ‘Why are my prayers and wishes not being answered?’, they ask. Following spiritual techniques, methods and rituals taught by their chosen spiritual centers and religious or faith groups, they are confused about why they did not receive their wishes yet. ‘If there is a God then why is He/ She not there for me?’, is a common question.

Here are Five Steps that you can take to find your inner peace and allow your healing or wish-fulfilment through any prayer or technique of your choice, regardless of religion or spiritual lineage.

  1. Choose a Worthy Cause: Prayers and wishes can be so many but not all wishes are good for us and others. There may have been people who try to curse or wish others harm, while some others simply wish for something limited when there is something much better waiting for them and they could not see it. Therefore ask yourself – ‘Does my wish really help someone?’ It could be for just yourself, your loved ones, someone you thought about, something impersonal or transpersonal or selfless such as global healing or a charitable cause. If it does not harm someone and is for the good of at least one being, it could be a worthy cause. Make your wish in the form of a statement in the affirmative. Keep your wish open by including ‘or something better’. For example: ‘May I get this opportunity or something better right now’, or ‘May my friend’s surgery be a success, or may he find a better alternative that brings perfect health’, or ‘May the homeless family find a healthy home and live a happier, more purposeful life.’cause
  2. Believe in It with Passion: Feel and imagine how it will be to have this wish fulfilled. Does it make you feel wonderful? Let the positive feeling sink in deeply into your mind, heart and soul.  The love and passion we put into making our wishes is also an energy that goes in towards manifestation of the wish. Feeling is healing. Positive feelings of love, compassion, gratitude, kindness, wellbeing, peace and abundance, bring about positive transformations in our situations. Carrying unhappy and angry vibrations in our heart can send the opposite energy out so heal yourself deeply and emotionally so that you can begin to believe in your best and the best for whoever you are praying for. If you really believe in it with all your heart, it will be more likely to come true.heart-2789686_960_720.png
  3. Be Open to the Healing: Are you ready to experience this wish being fulfilled in wonderful and delightful ways? Your wish may be fulfilled in an expected or unexpected manner. You may find that you magically and miraculously find what you need even before you get to the point of seeking help. Or it may simply be through effort. Similarly you may have expected your wish to be fulfilled in a specific time-frame, however it may come about sooner or later but at a time when it benefits the most. Do not worry about how and when, and do not feel angry or frustrated as negative feelings might block you further. Sometimes some paths are closed because we need to develop our-self further or raise our consciousness first. Keep working on yourself by increasing your own inner peace, love and trust, because that is the jewel within you that needs to shine all the time.open
  4. Feel Deserving: Sometimes we want something but there is a part of us that is criticising us, judging us by our past, or making us feel guilty of having what we ask. We might feel that there are others who are far more worthy, or that you are not so important in this large universe with billions of people on earth itself. We waste our time in blaming others and ourself for all the problems we have found our-self in because our logical mind looks for answers to ‘why we have those problems?’ and ‘what or who has caused the problem?’ Anger towards others or our-self might have been blocking the good of all concerned in these situations. We have to feel deserving by being peaceful and positive right now, regardless of past. Let go and forgive yourself and all concerned and replace all that negative energy or stress with love. rest-52495_960_720
  5. Self Realization: Prayers are answered if we let them go to the higher power that we pray to, who is not necessarily just an external entity that ‘grants wishes’. We are here in the universe for a divine purpose. We have to learn and grow our inner self and enhance our own vibrations. Our inner spiritual development is the key to manifestation. Rituals and complex rites are not always necessary. Some of us can manifest wonderful realities almost immediately merely through a little affirmation. Those of us who find the inner center and peaceful, loving consciousness are more likely to manifest easily than those who are merely into blind-faith or superstition. We have all come from the same One source which is higher than any limited personality or form. Religious differences about the name or form of this power are meaningless. For all we know, the higher power that we are praying may simply be found deep within our own loving consciousness. universe-1044107_960_720
