Veganism is the moral imperative that humans respect the rights of non-human animals – by excluding all products, services, or activities – involving their use, exploitation, or control of their rights.
THE VEGAN PLEDGE
I declare myself Vegan, by understanding that Veganism is the moral imperative to respect the fundamental rights of all sentient non-human animals.
I vow to eliminate from my life, all products, services or activities that involve their objectified use, exploitation, or control of their rights.
I will seek Vegan alternatives that align with justice and fairness. This includes food, clothing, personal care items, cosmetics, entertainment, sports, or any other products, services, and activities.
I commit to living as a Vegan from now onwards, both in terms of a moral philosophy and a practical lifestyle.
I recognize that Veganism is a basic human responsibility — a conscious choice to live ethically in a world shared with other sentient living beings.
By taking this pledge, I commit to a lifelong decision, guided by justice, ethics, and fairness, and the recognition that all sentient beings, and not just human beings, deserve respect and basic rights.
Note: You can also take this Vegan Pledge in addition to any other Vegan Pledge you might have taken, and even if you are already a Vegan for any amount of time.
