Nine Things That Make No Further Sense In an Awakening World

Humans are gaining consciousness after what seems to be millennia of deep sleep. Things that trigger our awakening are precisely those things that we did in the past that do not seem to make any sense if we actually use our inner wisdom:

1. Killing and mistreating innocent animals for food: When we turn vegan or encourage others to consider how animals die or suffer for our food when we can receive much better health through plant based diet because fruits and vegetables do not kill the plant, we get many arguments to handle. Just because our lesser evolved ancestors or other animals have been okay with consuming animals should we keep doing so without feeling any compassion? Are we still unconscious or are we supposed to be more evolved? We might feel that animal abuse and killing for food or entertainment be banned in an awakened universe, yet do we have the courage to say it? After-all killing, rape or abuse of other humans has also been acceptable in the past.peta

2. Using plastic: We argue that plastic can be recycled and consume tons of it everyday adding to the weight of non-biodegradable garbage on earth, but will plastic cease to be polluting or toxic just because it is being recycled. While governments are afraid to impose or implement bans on plastic in most countries, can we not consciously reduce and discover alternatives to this monster we have created simply for convenience?

3. Toxic and Chemical Products: Our needs for glamour and convenience need not outweigh that of true inner beauty and health. We need to ask why we all are we so keen on being outwardly attractive and looking or smelling good, why we keep socializing over drinks or smokes or why we continue eating more and more packaged foods that we do not research the ingredients and go natural instead? Whether it is harmful foods, addictive cigarettes, drugs or alcohol, or over-marketed skin-care and chemical make-up we can choose to say no and be conscious instead. Toxins-in-the-name-of-BEAUTY.png

4. Technological addiction: Whether children or adults we stay 24×7 on smartphones, television or other gadgets, with both eyes looking outside at some kind of entertainment instead of meditation. Staring outside instead of looking inwards is exactly how we lost our third-eye powers, and if we keep doing so we might lose the last of our remaining connections with higher consciousness?wifi

5. Ignorant beliefs and practices: We know how many of our outdated ideas are self-created outpourings of ignorant beliefs. While imagining that some being or beings outside us are giving us the rules we so loyally follow, we have mistreated women, sacrificed animals, encouraged racism, fought for land and power, spread fear and psychosis, destroyed nature and discouraged inner search for truth in the name of religion or belief.

6. Celebrity Worship:  With all that focus on glamour, fame and material power, where do real role models of inner enlightenment disappear? We see idol-worship of a new kind with mass-market music, movies, advertisements and sports dominating the scene while real talent and actual creative genius seems suppressed and unacknowledged. Spiritual idols too seem to be those famous figures of history, popularity or myth that develop into our gods and masters while we lose connection to the higher self within us.

7. Constant Seeking of Outer Pleasure: Special offers and a bombardment of marketing entice our senses all the time preventing us from making sensible choices. Screen romances and popular music has been deeply programming us to constantly look for sexual partners and indulgences all around us. We find little time to seek our own inner self as we lose who we are in the matrix of illusions and desires? If we were to detach from this constant seeking and find a peace and contentment from within, we would not be dancing in ‘maya’ all the time.

8. Making Money as the goal of life: Schools, colleges, offices, shops, we keep learning how to make money, struggle for survival, enhance superficial lifestyle and status and one day enter the ranks of the rich and famous. Are we learning how to exploit the matrix for gaining more and more at the expense of the well-being of others and the planet? Do we consider saying no to many of the unnecessary material objects that we have been accumulating and instead focus on spiritual enlightenment.auto-424119_960_720

9. Medicine that merely suppress symptoms: While we blindly consume harmful meat, dairy, processed foods, chemicals and pesticides instead of organic, fresh and raw vegan diet, and fill ourselves with negative thoughts or emotions, we develop many illnesses, lose resistance to common colds and headaches, and fall prey to life threatening obesity, cancer, diabetes, heart-disease and more that only leads to increased medical bills and taxes. In spiritual awakening, we begin to see that we manifest our own conditions and actually change our inner state through spiritual awareness and healthier choices in mind, body and spirit so that we no longer depend on constant medication.drug-pusher-1907827_960_720

Seven Ways People Stay Unhappy and How to Transform From Within

We all create our own sorrows as a way of learning and growing towards the light. Our pain draws attention to those suppressed or repressed parts of ourself that need healing. While some people are constantly stuck in the same unhappy situations, others move on transformed, healed and awakened. What is the difference?

1. Unhappy people keep thinking about their suffering and want someone (else) to help them. They love talking about their past with everyone they meet because it is necessary for them to attract sympathy and emotional support but they often find that people are not always equipped to help them in concrete ways. They also haunt religious places seeking answers to their prayers through a deity outside them and feel excited or frustrated when it coincidentally ‘works’ or does not. What they really need is the right inner work to begin transforming their situation. The right spiritual perspective would be scientific and self empowering. Therapies to heal the past patterns from within help realize our own karma through which we created our situation. To focus on learning how to manifest a better situation through our own energetic shift would be much more helpful than looking around.

2. Unhappy people feel they are victims of jealousy, attacks and conspiracies. Their energy is constantly drained in seeking confirmation that they have indeed been manipulated, targeted and made scapegoats by each and everyone, whether their own family, friends or systems of the world. If you have not yet been blamed by them for any of their miseries you soon will! Happy people in contrast look within themselves to realize that the people and systems that they attract into their life are somehow deeply connected to their level of consciousness. They understand that the universe is within them and all of their unconscious parts are exposed in the form of the collective that sometimes seems dysfunctional or limiting. These enlightened people are able to raise the consciousness of individuals or masses by their light, thereby transforming those very systems that others kept blaming all the time.

3. Unhappy people enjoy reading negative, controversial news and gossip to feed their mind with information and are eager to share those on social media and in personal interactions. Often these stories become what ‘everyone is talking about’ in social circles around the world. Media highlights the most negative stories even more because they know what catches the public fancy and adds to their circulation. Happy people on the other hand are aware that there are infinitely more positive things to be grateful for and a lot of really good people with inspiring stories to share. If they see or read a negative story their focus is on how they can personally shift the energy of the situation through their inner power, by sending healing or manifesting change and not just looking around for someone else to fix the situation. They believe in themselves.

4. Unhappy people seek to fill their emptiness with meaningless relationships, false friends, unhealthy and excess food, unecessary shopping and other addictions. They try to enhance their self worth through their looks, labels, wealth, certifications or popularity to help them project a better image or status outwardly. They are unable to enjoy space, silence, nature, or their own presence. Happy people on the other hand choose minimalism over excess. They know that ‘less is more’ and that they only need so much that they actually require for optimal living, whether in real estate, wardrobe, refrigerator, newsfeeds, inbox messages, edicational degrees or bank balance. Gaining consciousness and being self content is tremendously more satisfying than acculumating things or knowledge.

5. Unhappy people would love fatalism, prophecies, predictions and psychic readings to give them definitive answers. They want to be told what their future is, as if it were happening outside them. They feel unsure, incapable or undeserving of the power to manifest their own destiny, so much so that they judge others who believe in their inner power. Happy people love being centered in the creative spirit within them. They know that the universal life force energy does not flow from outside but from the universe within. They are aware of how each person or thing in their life is projected through their inner consciousness. They have seen the power of creative visualization in action through their own practice and do not require external proof.

6. Unhappy people are afraid to upgrade their beliefs. They hold on to the known because it is comfortable for them. They hang out with the same people they are accustomed to especially based on caste, race, religion, looks or social status. They watch the same senseless television shows and read the same quality of books just to follow the crowd. As a result their consciousness remains at the same level for a very long time. Happy people on the other hand manifest the next higher level of being. They attract more bliss and peace instead of everything else.

7. Unhappy people label themselves as ‘unhappy’. Their belief that they are unhappy people attracts more unhappiness to them. They speak of being unhappy as their present condition as if they have no choice. A happy person has been very unhappy in the past, sometimes even till today or perhaps even until this very moment. They may have suffered greatly, but gain awareness in the present moment to choose happiness right now. They accept their suffering as a catalyst for inner awakening. They trust that somehow from right now onwards, they can and will initiate at least some form of change. Through this scientific faith they begin to unfold a truly happy life from this moment forward.

Who Are You In The Matrix?

Do we live in a simulation? This question is obsolete for three reasons:

  1. Ancient philosophers all over the world already said the world, our entire universe is ‘maya’ or an illusion
  2. Modern scientists and technologists have recently started to agree that the chances we are not in a simulation are too little
  3. Modern spiritual practitioners including this author have literally seen reality manifest through their mind, people, situations and world events

It is 100% true that we live in a ‘Matrix’ of energy being constantly crafted through all the stuff in our mind. It is just like being strapped in a virtual reality system that practically generates all your life experiences right out of your conscious and subconscious thoughts, beliefs and expectations. The more we gain consciousness through meditation, and free ourselves from the slavery of our unconscious mental programming that we absorbed through the world, the sooner we awaken.

The Matrix is everywhere, wherever our mind is….. even right now!

While we are in the Matrix, which means the world is a projection or hologram around us, which of the characters of the Matrix movie do you relate with the most:

  1. The Seeker: A bit like Neo who always felt there was something not real about his world, and spent night and night researching the truth, we might be yearning for the answers and who knows even connect with the Source of this reality to save the world, much like The One. After-all the world is a creation of our mind and the more we practice the more miracles we can manifest.neo
  2. The Supporter: Many of us are akin to Trinity and others in the team of the Resistance, to provide love and support to spiritual seekers and help them in discovering their powers as their family members, partners, friends and colleagues who work alongside each other as one celestial familiy.trinitymatrix
  3. The Guide: The way Morpheus sought various ‘potentials’ and guided Neo out of the Matrix by showing him his ‘real self’ and getting him unplugged out of the conditioned or programmed reality, we could be guides for those who are yet to awaken, and those who make that choice (the red pill), provided we have been awakened ourselves.Morpheus-Matrix
  4. The Deceiver: Just like Cypher who knows too well that we are in the Matrix, but chooses to keep entertaining himself in the false reality even after being freed, we could fool ourselves with fame, fortune, worldly success and pleasures of the senses only to once again forget who we are. Unfortunately many spiritual masters have been doing just that, using the Matrix to fulfil endless personal desires. cypher
  5. The Agent: Like Agent Smith and his team of controllers some of us try their best to keep people absorbed in their routine lives or enslavement to worldly goals and expectations, whether through fear based systems of religion and politics or the false glamour of media and outer beauty. Matrix-agents-h1ladyinred
  6. The Architect: Much like the sophisticated Architect in the movie, a few people actually design control systems of corporate, political or religious nature to prevent inner freedom, so much so that even seekers such as Neo find themselves in a conundrum. architect
  7. A Program: Such as the Merovingian or the Twins who are designed to carry our certain repeated patterns of behavior, MOST people are simply repeating whatever they have learnt to generate certain outputs in society and in their personal lives, sometimes appearing to lead rich and successful lives, and at other times aspiring to achieve more in the Matrix of worldly projections.merovingian
  8. The Oracle: Like the old Oracle program, who is designed to be intuitive so as to predict the mind of humans, there are several seers, psychics and prophets who reveal the past, present or future and guide seekers or programs alike, and yet remain very much a part of the Matrix mother program.oracle (1)
  9. The Machine: The AI machines that literally draw all the life force or energy out of people to keep themselves alive, our machinery of social, economic and religious systems feeds on human resources to control the planet and land through our own mind. You may have been part of this machination. machine

Believe in The Miraculous

What is Miraculous ?

Something that happens only in ‘Disney’ movies?

Something that happens only in religious texts?

Something purely technological?

Something you might experience someday…maybe… if you believe?

Or, is it something here with you , in you …right now…?

Fairy tales, religious beliefs, technological wizardry or mind-magic..are all around us.

Yet, you do not have to belong to a specific religion to receive an answer to your prayers. You do not have to believe in dragons and fairies to get a wish. You do not need a gadget to send a message instantly to someone far away…It all depends on our inner energetic state.

Miraculous is within us, right now.

Our thoughts, desires, beliefs and habits are constantly creating our life. Regardless of fantasy, religion or scientific knowledge, each one of us is capable of letting go of our unwanted thoughts, unnecessary desires, false beliefs and unuseful habits…and begin manifesting the miraculous.

There are two ways our subconscious mind manifests the multi-dimensional world.

  1. Our subconscious creating our dreams… that appear amazingly real and vivid, so much so that we cannot even tell the difference between awake and asleep.
  2. Our subconscious creating our waking life moments… that appear amazingly real and vivid, so much so that we cannot even tell the difference between awake and asleep.

Yes, each and everything around is is self-created at some level of mind. For most of us this has been happening subconsciously. When we believed that we were awake, we might actually have been asleep, because our subconscious fears, reactions, anger, judgements, disregard, vanity, ego, or any other hidden or inner states were manifesting into lack of health, frustrations, crime, discontent, artificialness, corruption or any other issue that affected us for ages.

On the other hand, conscious awareness can help us manifest desired situations and experiences literally in our life. Those of us who have gained this awareness have seen this truth for ourselves, and the skepticism of others does not come in our way anymore. We begin with transforming our inner energy to directly experience better health, emotional joy, career satisfaction, abundance, love and truthful relationships. At the next stage we can help others (who are willing and receptive) through healing, intuition, telepathy and energy transmission. Our inner miracles grow to the extent that we can even affect global situations to some or the other extent.

As more of our subconscious comes into light of consciousness we find our world transform. It is merely a matter of time that all of us will gain this inner awareness that surpasses all boundaries of religion and science to lead us into a better state of global unity, peacefulness, loving acceptance, kindness, good health, equality, truth and safety for all beings including human.

We do not have to believe in a specific god, angel, ritual, prayer, fantasy or any other customary belief to manifest the promised kingdom. All we have to believe in the miraculous inner self, our own ascended state of consciousness to make our own promise come true.

FAQs about Spirituality and Religion

This FAQ is based on the personal experience of the author and is intended to encourage readers to introspect, meditate and discover  truth through self-realization. You are welcome to share your own personal experiences and spread the light.

Is Spirituality the same as Religion?

Spirituality does not always require adherence to any specific religion. Spirituality is an inner path, based on self-realization. Religions can be spiritual if they teach people how to be positive and compassionate from within. Those religions who teach blind faith, promote worship of outer God or deities and promote scriptures as the only way to learn truth may not be an inner path of spirituality.

Are all Religious Scriptures Positive and Love based?

By more than a superficial reading of various popular religious scriptures of various cultures, we can see that all of them have not been positive in all aspects. Gender bias, LGBT bias, racial supremacy, religious superiority complex and bias towards human specie have been clearly promoted through certain holy texts. In how many religious scriptures do we find a focus on animal rights, LGBT rights, women’s equality and racial equality which are our common human values in the modern world today? Fear of blasphemy and heresy have been used to prevent updating of holy books or scriptures that were written to suit earlier notions although each holy book often claims to be the one true word of God.

Is there One True Religion?

Religions have been culture specific beliefs prevalent in specific places and later spread or shared cross-culturally. There are far too many religions to be named here and many of them have a foundation of peace, love, kindness and regard for all of nature. We all have a common truth that ideally transcends religious or cultural boundaries and this common truth might be shared between various religions to some or the other extent. Any religion that claims to be the only one truth may be superiority-based or even fundamentalist, and not a source of true unity.

Is Spirituality about an outer God/ Devil or Inner Self?

We all can see a reality around us and know that we exist in a universe, but not all of us realize that each and every one of our situations, realities and life experiences are self-created projections or manifestations. Most people have been blaming either God or Devil for everything in the world. The magical and illusory nature or ‘maya’ of our universe can slowly be understood through awakening of our own inner consciousness through meditation and self-realization.

Who is the Devil?

Some people promote belief in a specific being called Devil as the source of all evil. Through meditation and an honest introspection we may find that our own hateful or ignorant beliefs, ego-based ideas, negative thoughts or harmful deeds in the past may in-fact be the source of evil, both individual or collective. All negative entities or energies, no matter what we name them, may be fear-based creations of our individual or collective minds that can appear quite real in this ‘matrix’ or illusion of reality. Deeply transforming our fears to love may be necessary for healing.

Who is God?

God as a source of unlimited Love and creator of all there is may not be a limited entity or personality. There is an unlimited love energy or consciousness that is present in all beings and waiting to be awakened. This energy is not of a specific gender or form and includes divine feminine and masculine in itself. All positive entities, loving deities, higher angels or positive energies may be creations or forms of our individual and collective love based consciousness. This higher consciousness or Source may be what many of us call God or Goddess or simply our Highest Self.

Is there a Higher Truth beyond our World?

Most people have been too busy in the outer world to give time to self-realization. They have been unaware that through our mind we can create either negative or positive realities in our life. Highly awakened spiritual masters have consistently guided us that all people, material possessions and life-events are manifested or attracted through our consciousness or unconsciousness. Those who believe only in the outer world or outer deities may at first find it hard to appreciate this view.

How can we Realize Truth or Know God?

Religions may have claimed that God or Truth can be known only through worship or through obedience to scriptures. Through self-realization we can personally witness the magical nature of the universe and how it is within us. We can see that healing can be sent and received regardless of religious belief because we are all interconnected beyond all differences. We might find that all things are impermanent or illusory but only deep inner love is true. By realizing our own inner source of unconditional kindness and love those who are on the inner-path can know God as our common inner truth that unites us as One.

How can we Heal ourselves?

Healing literally means rejoining or feeling whole. By feeling separate from the creator we cannot really be healed. Our healing journey begins when we learn to remember how we have been creating our life. We can be a witness to our own self and watch our own life transform through love based positive beliefs, positive thoughts and positive deeds. This happens only through deep inner healing including self-forgiveness, channeling positive energy and acceptance of our present moment as the point of positive transformation regardless of our past. Our true divine potential or Highest Self is always within us.

How can we Heal the World or our Collective Reality?

Most religious believers have left the task of healing the world to an outer God. At the same time through self-realization many people have personally experienced their own inner powers of healing and compassion. It is found that we heal our life, we also begin to magically heal others individuals or groups in kind and loving ways. True love unites us as One through our deeply felt inner awareness of magical abundance and higher consciousness. Both individually or in groups we can all heal our collective and individual self through love-based consciousness. A good place to begin is our own heart through meditation.

Brain/ Mind/Consciousness-‘Knowing The Knower’

Is human consciousness all about our brain and neurons? Or could there be something deeper to it?

There is no evidence existing which necessarily proves neural activities are the CAUSE of consciousness. Though they indicate CORRELATIONS only, in fact perceptual studies have accumulated plenty of evidences which disproves CAUSATION by brain.

Take for instance, the famous claim by John Searle, Slusser Professor of Philosophy at the University of California, Berkeley: that neural activity and conscious experience stand in the same relationship as molecules of H2O to water, with its properties of wetness, coldness, shininess and so on. The analogy fails as the level at which water can be seen as molecules, on the one hand, and as wet, shiny, cold stuff on the other, are intended to correspond to different “levels” at which we are conscious of it. But the existence of levels of experience or of description presupposes consciousness. Water does not intrinsically have these levels. We cannot therefore conclude that when we see what seem to be neural correlates of consciousness that we are seeing consciousness itself.

While neural activity of a certain kind is a necessary condition for every manifestation of consciousness, from the lightest sensation to the most exquisitely constructed sense of self, it is neither a sufficient condition of it, nor, still less, is it identical with it. If it were identical, then we would be left with the insuperable problem of explaining how intracranial nerve impulses, which are material events, could “reach out” to extra-cranial objects in order to be “of” or “about” them. Straightforward physical causation explains how light from an object brings about events in the visual cortex. No such explanation is available as to how those neural events are “about” the physical object. Biophysical science explains how the light gets in but not how the gaze looks out.

Many features of ordinary consciousness also resist neurological explanation. Take the unity of consciousness. I can relate things I experience at a given time (the pressure of the seat on my bottom, the sound of traffic, my thoughts) to one another as elements of a single moment. Researchers have attempted to explain this unity  by invoking Quantum coherence however this fails  because they assume that an objective unity or uniformity of nerve impulses would be subjectively available, which, of course, it won’t be. Even less would this explain the unification of entities that are, at the same time, experienced as distinct. My sensory field is a many-layered whole that also maintains its multiplicity. There is nothing in the convergence or coherence of neural pathways that gives us this “merging without mushing”, this ability to see things as both whole and separate.

Here are also problems with notions of the self, with the initiation of action, and with free will. Science begins when we escape our first-person subjective experience. Thus, measurement takes us further from experience and the phenomena of subjective consciousness to a realm where things are described in abstract but quantitative terms. To do its work, physical science has to discard “secondary qualities”, such as color, warmth or cold, taste – in short, the basic contents of consciousness. For the physicist then, light is not in itself bright or colorful, it is a mixture of vibrations in an electromagnetic field of different frequencies. The material world, far from being the noisy, colorful, smelly place we live in, is colorless, silent, full of odorless molecules, atoms, particles, whose nature and behavior is best described mathematically. In short, physical science is about the marginalization, or even the disappearance, of phenomenal appearance, the redness of red wine or the smell of a smelly dog.

Consciousness, on the other hand, is all about phenomenal appearances. As science moves from appearances and toward quantities that do not themselves have the kinds of manifestation that make up our experiences, an account of consciousness in terms of nerve impulses must be a contradiction in terms. There is nothing in physical science that can explain why a physical object such as a brain should ascribe appearances to material objects that do not intrinsically have them.

Our failure to explain consciousness in terms of neural activity inside the brain inside the skull is not due to technical limitations which can be overcome. It is due to the self-contradictory nature of the task, of which the failure to explain “aboutness”, the unity and multiplicity of our awareness, the explicit presence of the past, the initiation of actions, the construction of self are just symptoms. We cannot explain “appearings” using an objective approach that has set aside appearing as unreal and which seeks a reality in mass/energy that neither appears in itself nor has the means to make other items appear. The brain, seen as a physical object, no more has a world of things appearing to it than does any other physical object.

From the Vedic literature, we learn that there is a conscious self that is separate from the  body. Obviously, we are conscious of every single impulse that the senses of our body deals with. There is perfect interaction. So science will question how the self can interact so well with the body if it is not part of the body. And why is consciousness affected when changes are made to the brain? If the self is separate, then consciousness should not be affected. These are the arguments of science, and the Vedic literature offers some very interesting answers. If these arguments are answered, then why not consider an alternative viewpoint, as described in the Vedic literature?

There have been top scientists at such places as the University of Virginia using the strictest standards for documenting and researching particular phenomena. They have been able to demonstrate conclusive findings in over hundreds of test cases with patients who were, according to all known laws of physics, technically in a state of unconsciousness, or in a coma due to a heart attack or accident. The patients, after being brought back to consciousness, explained in detail what procedures had been performed to revive them. They described themselves as floating out of their body, up into the room, looking down and watching the medical procedures the doctors were performing on them. There was no possibility that they could have dreamed this as subsequent tests have shown. This shows that there is a difference between the brain and the mind, and that the mind or consciousness can continue working even though the brain is impaired and hardly functioning at all, as in a comatose state.

In the near-death experience we have the description of what happened to the individuals when they were revived, but what if they had not re-entered their body? What if the patients could not be revived? If they had died, where would they have gone? Or is death simply the end of everything? When someone dies, the relatives may cry and exclaim, “Oh, he is gone, he has left us.” But what is gone? He is lying there, or at least the body is. So if he is gone, then it is that part you have not seen that is gone. So what is it?

WHAT   IS   IT  ?

What is it , which is so difficult  to figure out with the help of mere intellect of academic studies? however it has become one of the major topics of curiosity in the field of modern science today. Is it worth knowing anything else without knowing the knower itself?

Since the beginning of life wisest men have always realized that knowing the knower is the highest form of knowledge in fact the ultimate purpose..let us be conscious about the consciousness itself, let us be on the path of knowing the knower ..Let us REALIZE  SELF…

Saturday Story: The Dreamer

Once there was a person who was in deep sleep. This person was dreaming, dreams after dreams…just like all of us who dream each night. In one dream this person was a fish, swimming in the ocean…exploring the world underwater…when a bird swept down and caught her…there she met her death. But, the dream continued…she was now a bird…flying high in the sky…soaring on the clouds with her strong wings… and looking down sharply to catch a prey..and as she flew down to hunt…a leopard took a leap at her and made her his meal. That was the end of her flight and her life. Yet, she kept dreaming on. This time she was a leopard roaring around the jungle looking for a good hunt. She felt strong and powerful…almost invincible, when suddenly she was struck by the bullet of a poacher in the forest that brought her down.

leopard-1518673_960_720

Still, she kept dreaming on….this time becoming a young man who lived a rough and weary life, struggling for money and basic necessities. Driven by the urge to feed himself and his family he joined a gang of poachers who made good money hunting and selling animal parts and skins. Then one day he was died in an accident. That was the end of that dream. Yet, he kept dreaming on into another dream. This time he was a wealthy businessman who lived a luxurious life with his wife and kids, in a large house decorated with the stuffed animals he purchased from the poachers. He ate hearty meals and indulged as much as he could. Then one day he was died of a heart attack…but the dreamer went on dreaming. This time she was a widow who was trekking through the forest, when she came across an injured animal who was struggling for life. Having been through the pain of losing her husband who had died of a sudden heart attack, she felt great compassion for the animal and the animal’s family. She thought of walking ahead and leaving the dying creature alone…yet kindness took over and she called the animal rescue team who rescued the beast and its life. She felt good. From then on she decided to be a positive person who helps everyone and hurts none. She began an amazing journey learning how to be peaceful, loving and generous. She saw how she had the power to change the world with her physical efforts, unaware that she is merely dreaming. Then one day she died and this dream was over, and another began.

face-636095_960_720

This time the dreamer was a kind and honest man who lived a simple life, teaching others about love, peace and kindness. He wished he could be everywhere helping as many beings as possible, but physically he could do only so much. Yet, he felt so much compassion that he often closed his eyes and wished that the world would heal. He imagined seeing the world as a better place and magically enough, he began changing the world with his mind. He was amazed that he indeed could wish for anything and see it happen. At first he was afraid of this power. It seemed strange and scary that anything good or bad could indeed happen at his will, not only in his life but around him too, with just the power of his mind. Then he began accepting this power as something divine that can be used for the benefit of all. People gave him titles of great respect and awe. Then one day he died and the dream ended, and another began.

All this while he was dreaming…and unaware of who he really was. In the next dream he began again, living an exalted and peaceful life with divine superpowers. Except that one day, he began to wonder…if the world can indeed change so easily with these divine superpowers and positive thinking…how real could this world be? Suddenly he felt like a fool who is unaware, sleeping and lost in illusion. He wanted to realize the truth about the universe and his existence. Who was he really? He wanted to wake up.

soul-746560_960_720

This story is the story of each one of us. We are all in this dream called the world where we are learning how we all are One. It is illusion to think there is anyone else out there. Our family, loved ones, friends, pets, and all creatures everywhere…all share one single consciousness at the core. We may have many bodies but our soul is the same. This one consciousness or the soul of the universe is within us all. When we hurt any being it is our-self that we are hurting, when we help any being, it is our-self that heals. Our mind connects with everything and everyone on earth and beyond and can influence the world in greater ways that we ever knew, because we are all One.

It is through meditation, self-love and inner contentment that we heal ourselves and prepare for our awakening, all satisfied and relaxed with deep inner peace. This journey from ignorance to the ultimate truth is what our existence is really all about. Know Thyself!

I’m conscious of writing a second article on Star Wars in the same week, before and after its release but seeing the much awaited hype and high definition drama, I could not help asking myself what Yuga is it likely to be based out of?

Yugas or Cycle of Ages explores the timeline around the ebb and flow of civilization and consciousness. The keyword is cyclic as it challenges the standard theory of linear evolution (that says our ancestors were far less advanced and even primitive but as we look at some of the achievements tens of thousands of years ago – pyramids, yoga, ancient astronomy – we recognize they far exceeded our current abilities).

Let’s check out another explanation. Hindu scriptures suggest the rise and fall of consciousness over time – a recurring cycle of four yugas totaling 24000 years. Highly cited authors such as Graham Hancock and archeo-astronomer, Walter Cruttenden of The Binary Institute among others have researched this intriguing possibility with hard-to-dismiss facts and figures!

In a nutshell, Yugas trace the lowest point of a civilization to the highest from its dark to golden ages and vice-versa, whichever way you look at it.

It is important to understand, it refers more to the consciousness than mechanical progress so even though a civilization can peak in terms of scientific ability, it can still witness a decline in its consciousness. By consciousness, I simply mean, ‘maturity of the majority’. If you can imagine our own planet, tens of thousands of years in the future, when we have spread out across the galaxy, settled on other planets and technologically far more advanced and project it on the cycle above, you can foresee a period of dark ages similar to 700 BC – 1700 AD, when we were busy fighting wars and slavery was rife.

On the same note, in a galaxy far away where Star Wars is set, you clearly see technical prowess on one side and on the other, find conditions darkly overshadowed by slavery and people there living in fear of being torn apart from their home planets in the face of constant wars with the opposite ‘force’.

That is anything but a sign of the higher ages where peace and harmony is pronounced yet it does not seem at the lowest either, in the very depths of despair where hope is lost and if you compare that against where we are now supposed to be (ascending Dwapara Yuga), I’m tempted to think, they may well be in the ascending curve of Kali Yuga when one is coming out of the dark ages and not going any further in it! Please take a minute to also think about it…

Mind you, this was a thought experiment and as cookie mogul Wally Amos said, ‘The mind is like a parachute. It functions best when opened’, I also hope the revised interpretation of evolution prompted some to question your ‘most cherished beliefs’ about what you always thought is true!

And as always, we welcome your thoughts on thepositivemedia@gmail.com.
