Recycling ‘Ugly’ Food & Avoiding Food Waste to Feed 5 Billion

Studies show we produce enough food to feed the current world population of 7 billion. Yet 800 million people went hungry every day or remained malnourished either because they had no money to buy or had no means to grow food. This was a shame because 1/3rd of the food we produce had been going waste, just because it ‘looked ugly’. Yes, perfectly healthy food that can feed 2 billion…. and no one realized it more than Tristram Stuart, who goes around cities for fruits or veggies (about to be thrown away for no other reason) and promptly recycles it, in his amazing way…

On the other hand, another 1/3 of the food we grow or cook was being lost in transit or going to rot. Again, enough food to feed 3 billion. New global teams are now tackling the root cause from fixing the food chain to ensuring food on the table for more, so much so, we can join hands in eliminating food scarcity across the planet within our lifetimes!

World Water Day and Equinox Full Moon

From now to 23rd we celebrate the equinox as well as the World Water Day on 22nd and the eclipse on full moon on 23rd.

Let us use the powers of this tide to amplify earth healing. As earth is unified with a love for nature, we know all our festivals, religions and celebrations spring from nature itself. This is the time we resolve to be One as children of Earth and to send our love to earth for healing and betterment of not just humans but all creatures.

To cast this spell take a bowl of water and send energy of love and peace into it. Close your eyes and feel the energy entering the water for a few minutes by being in a meditative and peaceful state. Say these words as you direct energy into the water:
‘Love, peace, kindness, healing
The world united as one being
Divine harmony everywhere around me
With harm to none, so mote it be!’

Take a few minutes to totally sense and feel the effects of these words and their power as you direct the energy into the bowl of water. You know that the water will absorb and respond to this energy beautifully. You can also add a few flower petals to this water to be able to visualize its blessing.

When you feel this blessing has been absorbed in the water you can pour this blessed water anywhere in earth in a place of nature and feel the blessing enter earth deeply. Know that it has worked in a wonderful way! You will soon begin to see the signs.

7 Simple Grounding Techniques

Light-workers, mediums and healers often find themselves depleted of energy after channeling healing energies to others. Even if they receive an energy exchange in the form of money for their work, continuously sending out positive energy, being of service to others and being involved in raising others’ vibrations can deplete and reduce their personal auric power. 5. Visualize you’re a tree or hug one

This is simple. Just lie down, close your eyes and visualize you’re a tree whose roots are firmly planted in Mother Earth’s vast expanse.Your roots are continuously sprouting & growing stronger. You are enclosed in a light bubble that is energized and shielded from all negative energies. Alternately, you could just go outside and hug a tree for real and request Mother Earth Gaia to transmit some energy to your being. Trees are natural givers and healers and can automatically channel healing to you. the fluttering leaves, the coarse bark and the texture of its roots is sure to make you feel connected to The Source once more.

6. Soak your feet in saltwater

A natural pedicure method, just add some rock-salt to a tub of warm water and soak your feet into it for atleast 10 minutes. This removes the germs & bacteria that may have been sticking to your feet and also revitalizes you. Keep your feet immersed till the water turns cold as the hot-cold effect is essential to bring you back into action.

Positive News: Penguin Swims 5,000 Miles Each Year to Meet His Rescuer

71 year old Joao Pereira de Souza from Brazil found a tiny penguin covered in oil, saved him from dying. He called the penguin Dindim and cared for him for almost a year till the penguin grew new feathers and swam back home….only to return again. Dindim found the man on the beach again and followed him home year after year to stay from June to February with Joao and swimming off to Chile and Argentina for the rest of the year

 

Latest Study Connects Meditation with Higher Wisdom

A recent study has indicated that by improving psychological health, it is possible that practicing meditation helps people to deal with hardship in a more successful and wise manner by arming them with the resources needed to handle the challenge rather than viewing it as a threat.

Researchers administered standard surveys to measure wisdom and experience among four groups of practitioners of mental and somatic practices, namely, meditators, practitioners of the Alexander Technique of stress  relief, practitioners of the Feldenkrais Method of movement awareness, and classical ballet dancers. Three dimensions of cognitive, reflective, and affective wisdom were analysed. The researchers additionally administered surveys of trait anxiety and empathy to all participants to explore possible mediating relationships of experience and wisdom by characteristics thought to be components of wisdom. Wisdom was higher on average among meditation practitioners.
