The Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai City, considered one of the most sacred shrines of Lord Ganesha in the World has decided to fund the education of children who’s farmer parents have committed suicide due to natural disasters and hopelessness. The Temple’s trust has set aside Rs 1 Crore for this under the Sidddhivinayak Scholarship Scheme which will provide for the education of these children upto graduation. Recently even the Odisha Government has set up ‘Anwesha’ to fund the education of tribal kids in elite institutions. Implemented in 17 districts, everything from the children’s books, uniforms, school supplies and more will be provided for. Read the full story on Indian Express.

Four IT Initiatives in multi-lingual formats have been launched for healthcare of the masses.These include an online tool to help addicts quit tobacco, support for TB patients and weekly informative audio messages via cellphones related to pregnancy and childbirth for expectant mothers.
